Yesterday Lori was getting ready for her flight and I had "The Decline" on full blast and moshing with my dogs when suddenly the dogs flipped out and ran to the door. Which meant there was someone at the door. I turned down the music and peaked out. An older black woman who looked fairly familiar.
I opened the door and politely said, "Hello?"
"Hi, I'm here for my logs."
After I got past a few seconds of a "what-the-fuck?" expression on my face, I asked her, "Your logs?"
"Yeh, the logs I bought here. I paid for them and said I was coming back for them."
A few more moments of "what-the-fuck?!?" and it dawned on me: she was talking about her buying the Duraflame starter logs at our garage sale back in October, 5 months ago.
"I'm sorry, I can't even remember selling them to you at this point, we don't have them."
"That's ok, just give me my $5 back."
I could feel my Bruce Banner rage pilot light flickering. You have got to be kidding me. 5 months later and this woman knocks on our door about a $5 purchase.
"I'm sorry, I don't have $5."
"That's ok, tell me when to come back."
Rage pilot light is now starting to burn brighter and brighter.
"No, I'm not giving you $5 for something you bought 5 months ago and didn't come back for."
At this point her attitude began to manifest. Lori came out and I explained to her what was going on. I saw a few moments of "what-the-fuck?" expression on her face.
This woman and I had a few moments of a pissing contest and I had had enough. I told her so, and slammed the door on her. Outside I could here her making comments about "oh no, that's how it's gonna be?" and other such nonsense.
I turned around, and Lori and I both had looks of disbelief. We can't wait to see what comes out of this.

nah, nope, uh uh, I think I'm in the right. Her request was ridiculous after 5 months. And I deserve no bad karma for her nonsense.
