Ruff Ryderz

Long lost pic. My soon-to-be nephews.

Slackerosity

This week is cool.

I'm running, eating better, and Lori entered us in a 4 mile run in May.

I'm doing a new painting, and getting carburetors for my 62 Triumph.

I'm learning to MIG weld tomorrow.

I'm hanging out with my new 77 year old, Model A collectin', wrenchin' buddy / surrogate grandfather on Friday afternoon.

I get paid. Woop.

Also, I have the new Two Timin' Hussies cd done, but I'm waiting on their slow asses to get me their album thanks. Like, Seriously.

Here's a teaser

Vector Brain Damage

Been teaching myself Illustrator. Lots of things I don't know yet, but trying to get more proficient, and get the wedding website together. Here's a vector drawing of my Desoto (not done yet) thrown inside a quicky background.

Found a couple pics of a 1954 Desoto Firedome that I really like. This is really close to how I'm making my Desoto. Low.

Under My Thumb

I'm one of the few people on this planet who can go to his office job and smash his thumb with a hammer. I spent 5 hours in the ER on Monday, broke my left thumb up the bone vertically, lost my thumb nail, and my nail bed was lacerated to the bone. I won't be able to ride for at least 2 months. But they gave me some good narcotics.

While I sat in my room, the guy beside me died. People were screaming in the ER. And my thumb wouldn't stop bleeding (profusely). My area looked like a war site. But my doc used to ride a bunch of brit bikes so he was a good conversationalist.

What happened was I was taking apart a 6' metal frame with a hammer and block of wood, smacking the hammer on it's side to knock the pieces apart. Someone came to our office and slammed the door because I was making too much noise. That threw me off just a split second. Wack.

2008 Roundup

It's been a busy ending of 2008 for me. My parents and Lori's parents came for Thanksgiving and met for the first time. It was crowded house but everyone had a good time. I then go and get engaged. And we finished up 2008 with a trip to Arizona for 2 weeks to spend Christmas at her parents place. Unfortunately, we're now back to reality; a cold, wet reality.

Thanksgiving Pics

Christmas Pics

Some highlights...

Family Christmas Photo

We stayed at the Shady Dell Trailer Park for a night in Bisbee, AZ. We'll be getting married there.

By shear coincidence, one of my favorite comedians of all time, Doug Stanhope, stayed in the same trailer the time before us.

I went desert exploring with Lori's uncles and dad, on the Sawtooth Mountain near Casa Grande. It's also heavily trafficked illegal alien route.

There is tons of trash everywhere from them running them through at night. All these are backpacks.

Petroglyphs, or what's left of them.

Arrowhead and pottery I found near a river bed.
