Sickness

We're having a garage sale Saturday, so I had to kick out the tenants. ...how does Lori put up with this? Neighbors found it "impressive."

New Pile

Picked up this complete 1972 CB360K for $100. Also came with a CB360 scrambler high pipe, late 90's front end, and air shocks. Going to put this one together after the '70 XS and find a new home. Perfect cafe candidate for someone.

Immaculate Conception

I seem to just stand around and Triumphs start popping up in my garage.

North Carolina

Sweltering humidity, trampoline bouncing, fro-yo for Jesus, skateparks and cheap ice cream, HOA suburbia, driveway waterpark, fireworks in the street, homecooked wings and burritos, and relaxing on big sectionals. We stayed with Lori's brother and family, and Max had an absolute blast playing with his other cousins. Pics

Ohio

A family bbq, so much food, walk in twilight with fireflies, grandma hugs, grandpa high-fives, rockin' the Goldwing, mom's first margarita, farm visit, no city noises, warm rain, skipping stones on the pond, Cedar Point roller coasters and ponied up for the Fast Track. Awesome time in the motherland! Pics

Leaker

And we're back from a 2 week exhausting adventure to Ohio and North Carolina to see family. It was great to see my folks play with Max for real for the first time, and let Max run around in the grass. And then he got to play with his cousins in North Carolina and live suburban for a week. Future posts...

I was greeted in the garage with a nice puddle of gear oil under my Triumph. Guess I didn't fix that leak...

I also had to rip the magneto off for a 2nd time and send it to the rebuilder for a 3rd time, no spark. If he receives the mag and it has spark, I vow to sell this Triumph and all my other bikes and retire from anything motorcycle. I did decide to ease some of the agony of installing/removing the magneto and got one of those long nuts to put on. That bottom nut is such a pain.

Now back to the fun of acclimating a toddler to a 3 hour time zone difference.

Some Day

Geekbobber found this 1950 Thunderbird on eBay. It's just driving me crazy. This is high on my list of MUST HAVE. That seems to be the theme around these parts nowadays... obsessive fantasizing about owning moreless achieveable object. The early 50's rigid pre-units are just the most beautiful thing in the world to me.

Simple Man, Simple Tastes, Simple Truck

When I sold the Desoto I had intentions of replacing it with an old truck, specifically a '38-'47 Dodge. I couldn't find one I could afford. Then I wanted to buy a bunch of tools and finish the '62 Trump. Like most things that get sold, the money has a way of finding itself reabsorbed into the family one way or another and the window to buy something else is lost. I am not employed. My 24 hour day job is watching Max, so it's very hard to justify ANY spending these days. So it hurts even more to see my dream pickup sitting 3 hours away from my parents in Ohio for about 1/2 what I'd have to pay in the Bay. It's a '47 1/2 ton, all stock, mostly original. Looks to be from a ranch in Little Rock, AK not too long ago. I've been trying to surpress my urges, to turn the switch off in my head the last few days. It isn't working. She's a beaut, Clarke.

King Luck

Guess who's magneto failed for the second time?
