Wired the headlight and shaved the dust sleeves to fit into the fork covers. The new dilemna is that the tightening divets in the sleeves are no longer exposed because the front end is lowered 3". The only solution I can think of is the entire fork needs to be assembled and then shoved up into the covers during assembly. My chrome should be here in a week or two, so I can finally put on the lowers and have a roller. The crank from Wes should be coming in a few weeks. In the meantime, I'm going to try to finish up the XS for the 49 Mile Ride.

San Diego

I've been absent for a week. We went down to San Diego to meet up with some of Lori's family and rented a house in Carlsbad. I got to spend 3 days jumping into waves and showing off my pale chubby gut. We also roasted ourselves at the San Diego Zoo. I think we'll start doing this more often. All the pics

Suck Boom Blow chamber

Got my barrels back from being bored to .060" over. Jason at SF Vintage Cycle traded me my +40 pistons and rings for the +60. Holla.


I also picked up a few other things from SF Vintage, new levers, throttle, rocker cap tabs, and a spare set of external fork springs.

Like A Glove

In the world of other projects, I got my battery tray from Craig over at Front St Cycle. The CDI attaches to the bottom, and the whole tray is removeable from the frame. I'll get on this after the Triumph is done.

Smooth

Craig at Front St Cycle is helping me coordinate with his polisher and chromer. Just got a picture of the polished parts today. Now at chromer.
