Pirate Boy
I almost threw this away. It has a lot of issues that bug me, but I decided to just power through it and try to finish it. As usual with my drawings, I started with a blob on the page and decided what to make from it. I was thinking about Max's first Halloween.

Pretty cool. Bums me out my youngest son misses out on some of that first child novelty and enthusiasm. Luckily he has super cool siblings which helps to compensate a little. Of course he also misses out on some of our over-protectiveness and not having a clue what we were doing...
ReplyDeleteYour artistic ability allows you to express that new parent enthusiasm in such a capturing and expressive way. Max is a lucky boy. He'll have a vivid window into times he'll never remember that very few do.
