I used scotch brite to get the crusty stuff, then wet sanded with 320 until all the black was gone, then 400, then 600, then 1200. No dremel. I didn't have any bits other than sanding. And no polishing compound. I was told NO POLISHING COMPOUND! so there ya go
Haha I looked at the left port and thought "hey not bad for an hour and a half." Then I noticed that ONLY the left side was done.
